Job Description:
Overview The Behavioral Health Clinician (BHC), as part of the
care team, triages and provides short-term interventions to
children, adolescents and their caregivers with medical and
behavioral health needs within the pediatric setting. The BHC
provides consultation to providers and staff as requested.
Additionally, the BHC provides education and referrals for further
treatment to patients and their families within the pediatric
setting. This position qualifies for a sign-on bonus!

years Specialized Knowledge and Skills Requirements Competency in
providing behavioral intervention to children/adolescents and their
caregivers with behavioral health or medical needs. Excellent
interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with
pediatrics staff, patients and other behavioral health clinicians.
Responsibilities Essential FunctionsProvide consultation to and
coordinate care of patients with care team. Identify, refer and
advocate for patients needing specialty Behavioral Health services
and other services as needed. Assess the clinical status of
patients referred by pediatric providers through brief,
consultative contacts. Demonstrate a strengths-based approach in
their work with providers and in their conceptualization of
children's behaviors. Provide brief, solution-focused behavioral
interventions with active development of a behavioral change plan
to improve medical and psychosocial outcomes for
children/adolescents and their families with chronic medical
conditions and co-occurring psychosocial stressors/psychiatric
diagnoses. Teach patients and caregivers about care, prevention and
treatment enhancement techniques. Department Specific Job
FunctionAssist pediatric providers in providers in recognizing and
treating mental disorders and psychosocial challenges.Assess the
clinical status of patients referred by pediatric providers through
brief consultative contacts.Work with pediatric care team to
efficiently and effectively treat and manage patients with chronic

The compensation range for this position is $29.29per hour -
$50.38per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum
range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The
actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a
variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's
experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts
