Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM Experience: • 18 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months. • Must have at least 12 months of Medical Surgical Oncology experience. • Travel experience is preferred from any number of months. • Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months. • Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred from any number of months Requirements: • Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission). • This role may require floating to additional units and locations • Local & travel allowed. • Flu vaccination required for submission. Required Skills/Experience: * Chemotherapy Skills/Experience: Administration of chemotherapy, Body fluid handling post Chemotherapy, Continuous Infusion of chemotherapy, IV push administration of chemotherapy, Management/disposal cytotoxic spills, Monitor chemotherapy, Oral Administration of chemotherapy, Recognize/ communicate abnormal lab values. * IV Therapy/Infusion Skills/Experience: Accessing Ports, Administration of coagulation factors, Antifungals, Antivirals, Blood/Blood product administration, Care and management of ports, Central line blood draw, Central Line/Implanted Line Care, PICC line care, Starting IVs. Preferred Skills/Experience: * Inpatient oncology * Biotherapy: Active Immunotherapy Specific/Non Specific, Administration of Interferons, Administration of Interleukins, Recognize/manage side effects. * Care of Patient With: Leukemia/Blood Dyscrasias, Lymphoma/Non-Hodgkins lymphoma. * Psychosocial Care: Hospice care, Patient/Family education and support, Withholding/withdrawing treatment. * Symptom management: Alteration in skin and mucous membranes, Altered mental status, Constipation/diarrhea, Dysphagia, Edema, Nausea/vomiting, Neuropathy. * Previous Charge Experience * LTAC Experience * Trauma Level I Experience * Trauma Level II Experience * Teaching Hospital Experience * Community Hospital Experience Shift & Scheduling: * 3x12 or 4x12s. * Will work every other weekend. * On-call is not required. * Open to accommodating block schedule; discuss schedule requests with manager.
