reporting, equipment processes, control systems, and electrical
systems (e.g., power, lighting, communications, controls, and alarm
systems). They manage and coordinate facilities, design, and
construction management activities. They oversee and support

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency
(NGA) serves as the world leader in providing timely, relevant,
accurate and actionable geospatial intelligence (GEOINT). NGA's
civilian, military and contract personnel evaluate imagery, maps,
charts, multiple layers of foundation data - such as terrain,
elevation and gravity - and the full spectrum of visible and
invisible light in order to help users visualize what is happening
at a particular place and time. Our intelligence officers go beyond
describing 'what, where and when' to revealing 'how and why.' our
work enables decision advantage for our policymakers, warfighters,
intelligence professionals and first responders.
This position will initially support the Next NGA West (N2W)
Program which is an NGA Strategic Initiative intended to design,
build, test and occupy a replacement campus for NGA's 2nd Street
Site that supports NGA's mission, inspires and meets the needs of
technical workforce, and increases Intelligence Community (IC)
collaboration. The Electrical Engineer is responsible for design
reviews, construction inspections, and commissioning oversight in
coordination with the US Army Corps of Engineers and the
Design-Build agent for all electrical related components and
systems such as sub-stations, primary and secondary site and
building distribution, controls,
uninterruptible power supplies, standby power systems, alternative
power sources, backup power generation, power transfer system
(automated and manual), bussing, communications, lighting,
controls, and power management and reporting systems. The
Electrical Engineer ensures N2W's requirements and design
incorporates appropriate capabilities and technologies to enable
compliance with all Federal regulations regarding energy
conservation and environmental protection; assists in planning and
executing commissioning activities and other activities associated
with project close-outs, property transfers and transition to owner
operator activities. This position will transition to Senior
Electrical Engineer with the Security and Installations Office
West, Facilities Engineering Branch (SIOWE) supporting the new
campus and the site in Arnold, MO. In this role, duties will
include electrical systems maintenance and operations design and
construction, review of facility project documents pertaining to
electrical related systems, generating technical specifications,
designs, and drawings for in-house projects, engineering analysis
supporting operations, reviews of contract documents for impacts to
electrical systems, planning for future upgrades to campus systems
and facilities, consult and advise on electrical engineering issues
and activities affecting NGA mission, and serve as Contracting
Officer's Representative in support of the Contracting Officer as
required to monitor contractor performance as defined in the FAR,
DFAR, and contract documents. The Electrical Engineer anticipates
issues and reacts to quickly-changing requirements and priorities;
works independently with minimum supervision; possesses excellent

MANDATORY QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: For this particular job,

You must be able to obtain and retain a Top Secret security
clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information. In
addition, you are subject to a Counterintelligence Polygraph
examination in order to maintain access to Top Secret information.

NGA utilizes all processes and procedures of the Defense Civilian
Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Non-executive NGA employees
are assigned to five distinct pay bands based on the type and scope
of work performed. The employee's base salary is established within
their assigned pay band based on their unique qualifications. A
performance pay process is conducted each year to determine a
potential base pay salary increase and/or bonus. An employee's
annual performance evaluation is a key factor in the performance
pay process. Employees on term or temporary appointments are not
