Aesculap continues a proud heritage of leadership and responsiveness as we strive to deliver products and services that improve the quality of patients' lives.ResponsibilitiesPosition Summary: Responsible for leading the receiving team in performing all physical and administrative tasks involved in the timely and accurate receiving of all incoming inventory and non-inventory shipments. This includes auditing of product counts and descriptions and the ultimate releases of same to either the named recipients or departments within Aesculap, QA Department or to stocks. Perform new hire and/or Temporary personnel training. Responsibilities: Essential DutiesLeads the receiving team consisting of warehouse personnel responsible for receiving all incoming, domestic and international shipments.Inspects and identifies any damages/shortages noted on all incoming shipments.Annotates carrier's delivery receipt of any exceptions taken on the delivered goods, i.e., damages, shortages, etc.Maintains shipping documentation in preparation of internal/External auditsMaintains working relationship with buyers and inventory management to reconcile discrepancies for products receivedSubmits reports and documentation to management to track errors and discrepancies of product receivedConfigure and maintain warehouse hierarchy for all locations identified in the warehouseTrack KPI's determined by management to ensure metrics are being met and documentedReconcile daily activities linked to receipts (IE: LX03) and put-away (IE:UML-Zone)Collaborate with customer service, supply chain, Set World, Quality, ATS repairs and facilitiesAssist Supervisor in maintaining operation within approved budget, along with submitting Capital requestTrack completion time of work by personnel to ensure productivity demands are metAssist supervisor in providing input to supervisor for disciplinary stepsPerform training on new hire and/or temporary personnelAssist supervisor with input on employee annual performance evaluationsComplies with GMP(Good Manufacturing Practice) procedures to ensure that all obsolete , rejected, or deteriorated manufacturing materials located in storage are not inadvertently distributedAssist supervisor in creating/supporting development plan for personnelFollow SOP procedures to ensure mix-ups, damages, and deterioration does not occur to materials during any stages of handlingOversees operation in supervisor absenceProvides back-up support for all areas of the operationAssist in Lean/Continuous Improvement/5S projects by tracking data and providing inputOperate various Material Handling equipment (Walkie/Reach/Order Selector).Must comply with applicable ISO and FDA regulations as stated in Quality ManualMust embody the Company's Vision, Mission and ValuesOther duties may be assignedExpertise: Knowledge & SkillsSecondary or peripheral job functions:Contribute to creating a climate of trust, ethics, and accountability by effectively seeking out and accepting feedback from others.Possess the ability to exceed expectations with the customer in mind and take responsibility for driving key results as well as empower others to achieve desired outcomes.Demonstrate behaviors that drive efficiency by understanding and improving processes as well as sharing best practices.Supervisory Responsibilities:Assist Supervisor based on the "Principal Duties Responsibilities".QualificationsExpertise: Qualifications-Experience/Training/Education/Etc Required:One -Two years of college preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience within a warehouse/distribution environment required3-5 years warehouse/distribution experience required in a leadership role (Lead/Supervisor)Previous experience with computer system and software required - SAP/Microsoft office/shipping manifestLanguage and mathematical skills; reasoning ability:Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
