Seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our team.Responsibilities:The ideal candidate will be highly organized and able to ensure that manufacturing remains a smooth and efficient process. The role requires the ability to monitor employees and organize workflows. Production is a fast-paced environment and the supervisor is an integral part of the manufacturing process.The production supervisor must be highly skilled in complex operations and able to comprehend the multifaceted nature of the manufacturing process. The ability to optimize day-to-day activities while minimizing costs is also essential to ensuring maximum quality and efficiency. This role is essential to our overall corporate objective-to ensure that the production processes results in products of maximum quality.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervisory Skills needed to Oversee Employees and Coach them Effectively
  • Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving Skills, including Ability to Spot Issues in Utilization/Productivity and Implement Improvements
  • Accomplishes Manufacturing Staff Results by Communicating Job Expectations; Planning, Monitoring, and Appraising Job Results; Coaching, Counseling, And Disciplining Employees; Initiating, Coordinating, and Enforcing Systems, Policies, and Procedures
  • Maintains staff by Recruiting, Selecting, Orienting, and Training Employees; Developing Personal Growth Opportunities
  • Maintains work flow by Monitoring Steps of the Process; Setting Processing Variables; Observing Control Points and Equipment; Monitoring Personnel and Resources; Studying Methods; Implementing Cost Reductions; Facilitating Corrections to Malfunctions within Process Control Points; Initiating and Fostering a Spirit of Cooperation within and between Departments
  • Completes Production Plan by Scheduling and Assigning Personnel; Accomplishing Work Results; Establishing Priorities; Monitoring Progress; Revising Schedules; Resolving Problems; Reporting Results of the Processing Flow on Shift Production Summaries
  • Maintains Quality by Establishing and Enforcing Organization Standards
  • Ensures Operation of Equipment by Calling for Repairs; Evaluating New Equipment and Techniques
  • Provides Manufacturing Information by Compiling, Initiating, Sorting, and Analyzing Production Performance Records and Data; Answering Questions and Responding to Requests
  • Maintains Safe and Clean Work Environment by Educating and Directing Personnel on the Use of all Control Points, Equipment, and Resources; Maintaining Compliance with Established Policies and Procedures
  • Maintains Working Relationship with the Union by Following the Terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement
  • Resolves Personnel Problems by Analyzing Data; Investigating Issues; Identifying Solutions; Recommending Action
  • Ability to Generate and Submit Reports on Performance and Progress
  • Contributes to Team Effort by Accomplishing Related Results as needed
  • Ability to Lead 6s and Continuous Improvement Initiatives.Qualifications:Production Supervisor Requirements and Qualification
    • High School Diploma Required-A Degree in a Technical, Engineering, or Relevant Field is Preferred
    • Proven Work Experience as Production Supervisor or Similar Role
    • Working Knowledge of Various Types of Manufacturing Machinery and Tools
    • Mechanical Aptitude
    • Excellent Computer Skills, including Microsoft Office; Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint. Experience with Access & AutoCAD Preferred
    • Outstanding Organizational and Leadership Abilities
    • Strong Technical Communication and Interpersonal Skills
    • Strong Work Ethic-Self-Motivated and Results-Driven
    • Excellent Problem-Solving Skills
    • Experience with Lean Six Sigma Problem Solving Preferred
    • Experience Leading Change within a Manufacturing Environment
    • Experience Leading (Small or Large Scale) Kaizen Events Preferred
