  • Job Details
  • Position / Specialty: Med Surg RN - Urology/Nephrology.
  • Years of experience REQ: Minimum 2 years' experience required.
  • Weekend REQ: Will work every other weekend
  • Is on-call REQ? No.
  • Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes - will float to other Medical Surgical units
  • Open to accommodating block schedule? Will try but not guaranteed.
  • Locals accepted: Yes- no radius.
  • Pending License accepted: No- must have active IL license to apply.
  • RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days.
  • Guaranteed Hours: Client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen week assignment without paying for the cancelled hours.
  • Special Requirements: Required Work Setting Experience: MS/Tele, Med/Surg.

    • Minimum 2 years' experience in medical/surgical nursing.
    • First-timers accepted: Yes - Want to see they have a solid foundation as an RN if they are new to travel.
      • Schedule Information
      • Shift: Nights (1845-0715)
      • Average Daily Census: 23. 25 bed unit.
      • Will work every other weekend

        • Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response Skills/Experience: Telemetry- remote monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams.
        • Required Genitourinary/Renal Case Skills/Experience: Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure.
        • Required IV therapy/Phlebotomy Skills/Experience: Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs.
        • Required Medication Skills/Experience: Heparin.
        • Required Respiratory Case Skills/Experience: Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oral suctioning, Portable Oxygen tank.
        • Required Professional Knowledge and Skills: Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac.
        • Cerner experience required.
          • Additional Details
          • Required based on unit/specialty. Must be AHA (RQI acceptable).
          • Required if candidate is requesting a Religious Exemption from flu vaccine.
          • Physical within a year of start, and updated annually.
