(BDS) Air Dominance Division is seeking Mechanical Systems Design &
Analysis Engineers for advanced aircraft development programs
located in Hazelwood, MO.BDS Phantom Works programs, develops
complex, highly integrated, advanced systems, enabling future
growth for Boeing and our Department of Defense (DoD) Customers.

-Position Responsibilities:
- Supports the development and documentation of mechanical and
fluid system and thermal environment requirements to establish the
system design
- Supports the development, maintenance or modification of
system, component and installation designs/proposals to provide
design documentation to downstream groups
- Performs and documents system performance using computational
analysis tools to validate and verify systems and components meet
requirements and specifications
- Performs detail design development and modification of
mechanical and fluid system installations
- Contributes to supplier development, test and production
activates and directs the supplier to optimize integration and
achieve program goals
- Prepares technical documents for mechanical components and
systems
- Supports system components' design/proposals standards to
provide installation and detail documentationThis position is
expected to be 100% onsite. - The selected candidate will be
required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This
position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim
and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.This
position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the
U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.Basic Qualifications
(Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an
accredited course of study, in Aeronautical/ Aerospace/
Astronautical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering
- The ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the
U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
- The ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs
(SAP)
- Experience with 3D solid modeling software applications (e.g.
NX, Catia, CADD)Preferred Qualifications (Desired
Skills/Experience):
- An active U.S. Security Clearance in the past 24 months
- Experience with Unigraphics (UG)
- Experience with thermal analysis tools such as Thermal
Desktop
- Experience working with aircraft fluid systems design and
components including pumps, valves, heat exchangers and
controls
- The ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
- Experience in developing solutions to a wide range of complex
technical problems, requiring ingenuity and innovationTypical
Education/Experience:Associate (Level 2)Education/experience
typically acquired through advanced technical education from an
accredited course of study in engineering, computer science,
mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2
or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination
of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA,
ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required,
accreditation standard.Experienced (Level 3)Education/experience
typically acquired through advanced technical education from an
accredited course of study in engineering, computer science,
mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5
or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination
of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years'
related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the
preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Senior
(Level 4)Education/experience typically acquired through advanced
technical education from an accredited course of study in
engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
(e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work
experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and
experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7
years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is
the preferred, although not required, accreditation
