03/10/2023 Job Title: Full-time District Wide Utility Position (40 hours per week; hourly rate of $15.19; work hours scheduled by the Director of Buildings and Grounds) (2 open positions)

Job Summary: District Wide Utility position at Highland School District which includes assisting with general maintenance and custodial responsibilities in the buildings and grounds of the district.

Descriptions: To operate the normal duties and functions of lawn, maintenance, and custodial equipment including but not limited to the following:

• Maintain grounds including lawns, landscaping, bushes, trees, grasses, and snow removal;
• Experience in all aspects of Facilities Grounds including operation and maintenance of equipment;
• Maintenance of outdoor athletic surfaces including preparing fields for athletic events;
• Asphalt care including repair and patch holes, striping parking areas;
• Delivery of custodial supplies, lift, risers, scrubbers, chairs, etc.;
• Serve as a substitute custodian (all shifts);
• Assist maintenance personnel as needed;
• Follow the work order system;
• Attend trainings, load and unload trucks, and assist with setup of activities and special events;
• Maintain central warehouse and keep shop area free of hazards;
• Ability to repetitively lift 75 pounds;
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, stooping, kneeling, and crawling;and
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  Qualifications: A physical and background check is required as well as a drivers license and clean driving record. Able to operate normal grounds equipment.
