About the Position:

General laborer duties vary on the setting in which they work and their level of specialization. They usually work in residential settings, and construction sites where they will: preform physical tasks, assist in the repair, replacement and install of basement waterproofing systems, exterior drainage systems, foundation stabilization, concrete leveling tasks, and the assistance of specialized workers such as Quality Waterproofing's Crew leaders. Occasionally, general laborers take up dangerous tasks like handling chemicals or working in trenches. In these cases, additional training may be required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Providing quality installation and repair of foundations, basements, and other concrete leveling services.
  
• Responsible for cleanliness and organization of jobsites, workspaces, and company vehicles
  
• Productively and safely help in the repair of foundations, drainage systems, and concrete leveling services.
  
• Handling and transporting materials and equipment
  
• Handle and use power tools (such as Jack hammers, drills, saws).
  
• Mix, pour, and finish concrete (hand trowel finish)
  
• Use machinery (e.g. forklifts) when needed
  
• Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks (e.g. digging, stacking up goods)
  
• Put up warning signs (e.g. signposts, cones) for vehicles and passersby
  
• Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions
  
• Digging trenches and compacting earth
  
• Reading and following plans, blueprints, or scopes of work
  
• Continuance of training and learning all aspects of the jobs
  
• Vehicle and equipment maintenance
  
• Job duties include but are not limited to all previous mentioned duties

  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads in excess of 50 pounds for extended periods, repetitive tasks and motions etc.)
