We are currently seeking an Associate Mechanical Systems Design Engineer (Level 2) . Mechanical Design position is available in the Equipment Installation team. This position is located in Hazelwood , MO and support the MQ-25 program.

Position Responsibilities:
Supports the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid systems, and thermal environments

Supports the development, maintenance or modification of system designs/proposals to provide design documentation and high-level requirements to downstream users/customers

Performs detail design development and modification of equipment installations using relevant CAD and analysis tools (i.e. Catia/NX, AMESim, MatLab, etc)

Supports teams in performing spatial integration at system or component level

Assists in preparing technical documents for mechanical components and systems

Assists in supporting proposal preparation and new business development efforts

This position is hybrid. This means the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically and/or Internationally depending on business needs.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
2+ years' experience in Mechanical Systems design

2+ years' experience with a design tool (CAD package) like Siemens NX, CATIA, etc.

Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
The ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
2+ years' experience working with cross functional teams
The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

Experience using product data management tools. Teamcenter experience preferred.

Supplier coordination experience and shop support

Highly motivated, self-starting individual with strong interpersonal skills

Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Shift:
This position is for 1st shift.

Summary pay range for Associate Level: $76,500 - $103,500

To meet export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. -120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
