The Principal Application Architect I will build complex products
and features that directly impact the customer experience. This
role will create innovative solutions by developing, implementing
and recommending solutions for applications.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and
enhance the customer experience.
Design, implement, and deliver complex products for users.
Actively and independently acquire knowledge of new development
technologies in areas such as mobile, video, second screen, social
media and other niches.
Lead the development team to respond, clarify or define specific
application behavior, look/feel and function.
Diagnose complex issues, evaluate, recommend and execute the best
Manage detailed application requirements and collaborate with
project /development teams to ensure quality function, features and
Develop, modify, enhance and implement software systems designed to
support new or existing business initiatives.
Influence system design by identifying and recommending design and
requirements needs for software enhancements.
Test software to ensure proper and efficient execution and
adherence to business and technical requirements.
Write code that meets the production requirements and design
specifications and anticipate potential errors and issues.
Ensure code is regression free, documented and unit tested.
Participate in design and wireframe review to provide a technical
perspective on implementation.
Ensure alignment between the business operational strategies and
Design, implement, monitor, enhance and troubleshoot systems.
Analyze and revise existing system logic difficulties and
Test and review system designs.
Mentor and guide the work of technical staff.
Make technical decisions on application projects.
Required Skills/Abilities and KnowledgeRequired Education
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Demonstrated in-depth foundation in architectures, OO Design, data
structures, and algorithms
Demonstrated in-depth understanding of Java/J2EE and related
Demonstrated in-depth understanding of best practices in CX
Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of Agile development
Ability to deliver against several initiatives simultaneously
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Effective analytical and troubleshooting abilities
In-depth understanding of software engineering and object oriented
Understanding and ability to manage multifaceted new media platform
Ability to manage complex and diverse projects
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related
Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years
Java architect experience 4+
Software development experience - 7+
Web services development experience using REST, JSON, XML - 4+
Version control systems experience (Git and Atlassian suite) -
Preferred Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
* 6+ years of experience with Spring, SpringBoot, Spring Batch
* 4+ years in Cloud Platforms - AWS or GCP or Azure
* 6+ years of experience with DBMS such as MySQL / MariaDB, Oracle
and/or MS SQL or any other relational Databases.
* 2+ years of experience working data flow tools like Apache NiFi
and BPM tools like Camunda
* 2+ years of experience using CI/CD, GitOps continuous delivery
tools and platforms including Maven/Gradle, Jenkins/TeamCity, Argo
CD, Google Skaffold, etc..
* 2+ years related work experience with outbound communications
delivery platforms (Email, Text/SMS, IVR)
* 2+ years related work experience with application container and
container orchestration technologies
* 3 to 5 years' experience with software development methodologies,
4D, Agile Scrum/Kanban
* 6+ years working knowledge of network and PC operating systems,
including Linux, Unix and Windows.
