Job Description:

Yoh is seeking a Lab
Assistant to support our Agricultural Client in Saint Louis, MO for a short-term contract engagement. You will assist the Research and Development department with their Breeding and Product Characterization goals. You will assist in executing phenotyping and packaging to support their pipeline.

Position: Lab Assistant

Hours:
8 - 5; Monday - Friday; Some late hours, some weekends

Responsibilities


Match seed to envelopes using scan-to-match technology
Counting seed, both manually and via machinery
Sorting and organizing of seed packets into planting order, document inventory
Assist in discarding seed and maintaining accurate seed inventories
Operate Perten to determine protein content of pea lines via NIR
Contribute to and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)





Qualifications


High School diploma or GED is required
Associates degree in Plant Biology, Biology, Horticulture, Agronomy or a related field is preferred
Ability to adhere to biosafety regulations associated with handling of transgenic material
Ability to handle exposure to heat, dust and plant pollen
Ability to work long periods of time on your feet and lift 30 pounds
