Job Description:
Sr. Computing, Storage & Cloud EngineerAll work to be performed
onsite in Springfield, IllinoisThis Sr. Computing, Storage & Cloud
Engineer will be a direct report to the Manager of Infrastructure
of this growing - 130 persons strong - IT Team!Responsible for
influencing and driving forward the design, implementation, and
management of the day-to-day aspects of the computing & storage,
services, and solutions. Ensuring their quality, stability,
availability, redundancy, and security. This role includes the
design and management of servers, storage, backups (data
protection) and virtualization stack.o Design and implement Windows
Server 2012, 2016 and 2019 with related systems services and
solutions.o Diagnose and resolve problems spanning across the
computing, storage, network and visualization stacks.o Work with
senior leadership to research and target technology trends and
system improvements.o Provide on call support, responding to
incidents as required.o Proactively assist and develop utilization
modeling and capacity planning - addressing any resource
bottlenecks across both storage and computing platforms before they
impact the business.Targeting a Bachelor's Degree plus 4 or more
years of experience working in a highly regulated industry such as
healthcare.Deep Experience with Microsoft Windows Server Core
Services such as: Active Directory, DHCP, DFS, ADFS, Certificate
Services, IIS, DNS, Group Policy, etc.Deep experience with Azure or
AWS infrastructure a plus!Strong technical knowledge and experience
with VMware virtualization technologies.Must already have a
permanent right to work in the United States without sponsorship
