For Victorian based employees, the compliance date is 26 November 2021.All other global Boeing locations do not have a vaccination requirement at this time.The Boeing Company is currently seeking Simulation Lab Software Engineers (Level 2) to join the Advanced Programs Flight Simulation Labs team located in Berkeley, MO.-- - This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.If you come to work with us you will be responsible for full life-cycle software development which means you will have a hand in defining the requirements; designing, implementing and testing software; and supporting these products through delivery and in the field:Software development for modeling, simulating, testing, and/or analysis using C++,-- -C#, Python, Windows, and LinuxWorking with customers and other engineers to define requirements, such as understanding and agreeing upon the function of the software systemArchitect and designing software to meet current and future requirementsImplementing software using a variety of technologies and implementation software languagesPosition Responsibilities:Assists with the development, documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for simulation and lab software Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional systemAssists with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software requirements are met Supports software project management and software supplier management functionsSelects, tailors and deploys processes and tools; establishes metricsPerforms software research and trade studiesTroubleshoots software issuesWorks under general supervisionThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements: This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.-- - Ability to obtain Secret US Security clearance (Post-Start).Required Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): Ability to obtain Secret US Security clearance (Post-Start)Bachelor's degree or greater in a technical field of study Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):3-- -or more years of experience with C, C++, C#, or Java3 or more years working in an Agile software development framework3-- -or more years of experience with real-time software developmentFamiliar working with and/or developing software requirements/test methodologyTypical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master)In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standardTravel: Occasional travel may be required but would be less than 10%.Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.Boeing-- -is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Work Shift: This position would work 1st Shift.
