POSITION OVERVIEW: World Wide Technology, Inc. has a unique opportunity for a talented, dedicated person to fill the role of Jr Network Protocol Developer. They're up for joining a nimble, start-up team that's backed by a forward-thinking global organization. This person will work as part of a product focused startup, to ensure software products are built of the highest quality. This is a remote position, with the possibility for occasional travel. RESPONSIBILITIES: An ideal candidate must have previous developing network protocols and have a solid understanding of OEM networking techniques. They will have experience working with all levels of management and have excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. The candidate will need to be able to forge relationships and quickly come up to speed on the team's domain and vision for the product. The candidate must also have real world experience working as part of an Agile team and possess the ability to distill business value and goals into roadmaps and refined product backlogs. The Jr. Network Protocol Developer will guide the development team on principles within their delivery teams. The Jr. Network Protocol Develop will work with a WWT development team out of a virtual office. - Responsible for the system operation with concentration on metrics data collection, analysis, reporting, tools and solutions development, systems integration, and operational support. - Work with a team of developers to build production-grade software applications - Participate in software release and deployment activities managed under an Agile software development approach. - Support production environments. Perform troubleshooting of issues within a containerized application environment. Produce root cause analysis independently and by collaborating with other operational support teams (e.g., network support, divisions, and vendors). - Participate in design and architecture discussions. - Build effective CI/CD pipelines for application build, release and run cycles - Collaborate constructively with team members. - Ability to work under pressure while being adaptable and responsive to organizational requirements. - Maintain high degree of self-motivation and independent decision making - Seek to understand and align with the product market fit, product life cycle, and the long-term strategy for the product within the market when making product level decisions and recommendations. - Responsible for identifying requirements and conducting any research and analysis to ultimately identify and breakdown work for the development team. - Work with the development team daily to answer questions and review the product being developed.
