Give us a call opt 1 Job Details: - Shift: 12H Nights - Total Weekly Hours: 36 - Certifications: BLS, NIHSS - Trauma Level: - Facility Specific Job Notes: Experience Required:/n- Minimum 2 years of experience required in Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg) setting./n- Travel experience required./n- Experience with Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response skills/experience: Telemetry- remote monitoring and Use of Rapid Response Teams./n- IV therapy/Phlebotomy experience: Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs./n- Medication experience: Heparin, Insulin, PCA./n- Neurological/Psychiatric case experience: CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Pre/Post Neuro Surgery, Spinal cord injuries, Traumatic Brain injury./n- Surgical experience: Experience with Surgical drains required./n- Respiratory case experience: Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, CPAP/BiPAP, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oral suctioning, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Pre/Post Thoracic Surgery, Tracheostomy Management./n- Professional knowledge and skills: Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac. Continuous Bladder Irrigation experience required./n- Cerner charting experience required./n- Teaching hospital and Trauma Level II experience preferred./n/nCertifications Required:/n- BLS (Basic Life Support) and NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)./n- OCN* and MS/Tele*, Telemetry* (specific skills listed in job description details)./n/nLicensure:/n- Must have active Illinois (IL) license in hand at submission./n/nLeadership Experience:/n- Previous charge experience preferred./n/nSkills Required:/n- Ability to work every other weekend./n- Must be able to float within scope to meet facility needs./n- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias./n- Post Angiogram, Post cardiac surgery, Post MI, IV Insulin protocols, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure, Phlebotomy, Ortho trauma, Peripheral nerve block catheters, Total joint replacement, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)./n- Colostomy/ileostomy management/care, Feeding tube care and management./n- Use of Rapid Response/Code teams./n- Non-invasive airway management./n- Tracheostomy care/management./n- Wound Care/Wound Vac./n/nAdditional Requirements:/n- Must comply with COVID-19, Flu vaccine requirements, and submit to background checks as per hospital policy./n- Floating is 100% required./n- Candidates must secure housing, complete compliance needs timely, and complete full assignment without attendance/behavior issues./n/nNote: "First-timers" or candidates without prior travel experience are not accepted.
