SSM Health is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Tech, CVOR to join our team. This role is crucial in our cardiovascular operating rooms (CVOR) at our state-of-the-art healthcare facilities. The position involves assisting in the preparation and handling of surgical equipment and instruments during cardiovascular procedures under the supervision of surgeons and registered nurses, ensuring patient safety and the smooth execution of complex surgical operations. Prepare and maintain sterile medical supplies and equipment for cardiovascular operations. Assist surgeons and nursing staff in the handling of surgical instruments during procedures. Ensure all surgical tools meet strict sterilization standards. Monitor and anticipate the needs of the surgical team to ensure seamless procedures. Maintain meticulous documentation of surgery particulars and patient care in accordance with compliance standards. Proficiency in sterilization techniques Strong understanding of cardiovascular surgical procedures and terminology Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure Excellent teamwork and communication skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
