SSM Health, a leading Catholic, not-for-profit health system, is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for our Medical-Surgical unit on 8 South. This position plays a critical role in supporting our commitment to serve the healthcare needs of communities across the Midwest. The RN will be integral to our fully integrated health care delivery system, ensuring high-quality patient care and fostering an environment of healing and comfort. Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of SSM Health. Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop effective nursing care plans. Execute medical regimens as prescribed by licensed physicians, dentists, or other authorized prescribers. Educate patients and their families on illness, wellness, and preventive healthcare. Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records. Maintain a collaborative relationship among health care teams by communicating information and managing patient needs. Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of care. Strong clinical skills with an emphasis on assessment and care planning Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Capability to manage time effectively and prioritize patient care Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems Medical Insurance Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification preferred
