The Opportunity Seeking Board Eligible/Certified Critical Care physicians. Current IL state license is a plus. Visa Candidates are encouraged to apply. Candidates wanting to work in an academic setting with current residents desired. The Practice HSHS St. John's Hospital – Springfield, Illinois 450-bed facility and a primary teaching hospital for the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. Level I Trauma Center with a 54-bed closed ICU and 22 ED beds. Annual volume of 20,000 with 2-3 admits per day per intensivist and 3-5 admits per night per intensivist. Epic EMR with Dragon dictation. Full roster of sub-specialty backup excluding dermatology, transplant, and hepatology. The Community Home to landmarks like the Lincoln Home National Historic Site, Presidential Library, and Lincoln Tomb. Residents enjoy a variety of activities, from exploring historic sites to outdoor recreation at Lake Springfield, where fishing, boating, and hiking opportunities abound.
