Registered Nurse (RN) | Surgical Intensive Care Unit Location: Springfield, IL Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $3,066 per week Shift Information: Nights - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Surgical Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Must have active Illinois license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred Description: Position/Specialty: SICU RN Shift: 3x12 Nights (1845-0715) Weekend requirements: Will work every other weekend Will float to other units within scope as needed, primarily to other ICUs. Open to accommodating block schedule; discuss schedule requests with manager. Ideal candidate ideally has no more than 5 days of RTO. Client may call off up to 36 hours per thirteen-week assignment without compensating for canceled hours. If more hours are canceled, client will be billed for any shifts or portions thereof canceled excessively. If placed on-call instead of being called off, that will count as a called-off shift. Type of facility: Acute Care Hospital. Level I trauma center. Magnet hospital. Total Staffed Beds: 562 beds. Charting System: Cerner. Patient Age Groups: Adults. Daily Census: Approximately 11 patients. Special procedures include bedside bronchoscopy, EVD placement, and central/arterial line placement. Additional responsibilities include obtaining 12 lead EKGs, managing ventilators, and administering emergency medications. Frequent neuro assessments are performed. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy. Patient diagnoses focus on neurological cases such as ischemic stroke, hemorrhagic stroke, and post-neurosurgery management. Candidates must secure housing and complete all compliance needs in a timely manner. Floating to other departments is required. AHA and Red Cross certifications are accepted. Experience should be confirmed per job description. Background policy to be noted prior to submission. Candidates must complete necessary appointments and modules prior to their start date.
