Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/09/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Intermediate Step Down night shift position requiring an active MO or compact RN license and at least one year of recent specialty experience. Responsibilities - Work in a hospital Med/Surg Intermediate Step Down unit - Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM - Assignment duration is 13 weeks - Blocked scheduling may be allowed based on facility needs - Up to 5 days of requested time off is permitted and must be made up during the assignment - Local candidates within 50 miles are subject to rate adjustments and limited to three consecutive 13-week contracts locally - Staff who reach three consecutive local assignments must separate from the facility for at least one year or transfer to another facility outside the 50-mile radius - Full compliance files must be cleared prior to assignment start date Requirements - Active MO or compact RN license required at the time of consideration - Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Med/Surg Intermediate or Step Down nursing - Current certifications must be valid and cannot expire within the first 30 days of assignment unless scheduled for renewal - A valid U.S. Social Security Number is required - No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-664486.
