PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Decatur, Illinois, 62526! Job Title: PACU RN
Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Post-Anesthesia Care Unit
(PACU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12
hours (08:00 - 20:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience
required License: Active Illinois license required or in
application process Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required
Must-Have: - Minimum 2 years' nursing experience in a PACU or
similar setting - ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications - Must be able
to float to other units as required Description: The position is
for a PACU Registered Nurse. This role involves caring for patients
recovering from anesthesia after surgery. The unit has 18 beds.
First-time travelers are accepted for this position. Weekend shifts
are not required. Candidates must be willing to discuss scheduling
requests with management. The facility may call off up to 36 hours
per 13-week assignment without penalty. If candidates are placed on
call in lieu of being called off, that will count as a called-off
shift. RTO restrictions ideally stipulate no more than 5 days off.
Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. Candidates with
experience in pediatrics and various surgical procedures are
preferred. The facility provides supplies and scrubs for this role.
Charting uses a specific electronic medical record system.
Candidates should have experience with various clinical procedures
and patient care activities in PACU. Interdisciplinary support
includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
