Job Title: CT Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty:
CT Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10
hours Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience required License:
Active state license required for this role (or must be in
application process). Certifications: ARRT, ARRT-CT, BLS required
Must-Have: Every third weekend and one night of call per week.
On-call and holiday coverage as needed. Required work setting
experience includes Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, ICU,
Emergency Department, Level I Trauma. Required abdomen and pelvis
CT skills include abdomen without and/or with contrast, pelvis
without and/or with contrast. Required chest CT skills include
chest without and/or with contrast, vascular chest (e.g., pulmonary
embolism, CTA, aorta). Required head and neck CT skills include
carotid, head without and/or with contrast, sinuses, soft tissue
neck, trauma head. Required image display and post-processing
skills include 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, region of
interest measurement. Required professional knowledge includes
isolation precautions, preparation and/or administration of
contrast media, radiation safety, starting peripheral IVs,
venipuncture. Required special procedure skills include coronary
CTA. Required spine and musculoskeletal CT skills include cervical,
lumbar, musculoskeletal trauma, thoracic. Description: This
position requires a CT Tech for high-quality imaging in a
fast-paced environment. The tech will perform CT scans for various
indications, including abdomen, pelvis, chest, head, and neck.
Responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures,
ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with the healthcare
team. Knowledge of anatomy, patient care, and imaging protocols is
essential. Strong communication skills are necessary to assist and
educate patients. The ideal candidate should be adaptable and able
to work independently as well as part of a team. Participation in
all relevant departmental duties and continuing education is
expected.
