Minimum 1 year in cardiac telemetry License: Current RN License
eligible for licensure in the state Certifications: BLS and ACLS
from AHA only Must-Have Skills/Experience: 1 year in cardiac
telemetry, inpatient only. ACLS certification. Experience reading
telemetry. Working with CHF, chest pain, renal, and hemodialysis
patients. Knowledge of Amiodarone and Cardizem drips. Experience
with central lines (HD catheters, ports, PICCs). Description: This
position is an auto-offer role. Working on a telemetry unit with
high acuity patient care. The unit manages patients with complex
cardiac and medical conditions. Nurse-to-patient ratios vary based
on staffing and patient needs. The nursing process is utilized to
provide patient care. Responsibilities include assessment,
planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
Monitoring and coordinating patient care activities with ancillary
departments is essential. Maintaining patient rights and
confidentiality is a top priority. The role requires effective
communication and teamwork. Compassionate and empathetic care is
expected as part of the unit culture. Attention to detail and
thorough assessment skills are critical. Physical demands include
standing, walking, bending, and lifting patients with assistance.
Exposure to blood and body fluids is high due to the nature of the
work. Ability to meet unit-specific physical demands is required.
Nurses will engage in the care of various patient populations,
including those with surgical and medical co-morbidities. This role
promotes a positive patient experience in a fast-paced environment.
Compliance with established guidelines of nursing practice is a
must.
