As the Medical Assistant, you will assist in the coordination of
patient care in an assigned community or communities in accordance
with Federal, State, and Local regulations. The Medical Assistant
is responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to
the integrated services team.Obtains consent and all necessary
intake paperwork from resident or POA prior to initiation of all
integrated services
Documenting patients' medical information, including medical
history and health insurance information
Performing data entry tasks to document patient records within
facility databases and maintaining patient files
Recording patients' vital signs, documenting physicians' notes and
changes in medical conditions
Assisting providers during routine physical exams and small
procedures
Performing phlebotomy and fluid samples as ordered with
coordination of sample pick-up for laboratory analysis
Monitoring and documenting patient symptoms for physicians' review
during clinical exams
Develops and coordinates schedules of rehabilitation and diagnostic
services in community to optimize resident participation and
therapist productivity
Complete Weekly Caseload log and review with onsite providers, area
leaders, and community clinical teams.
Uploads information from daily Stand Up into Microsoft Forms
document weekly
Collaborates with the Nurse Practitioner on any areas of concern or
successes voiced by the executive director and/or director of
nursing through regular communication.
Communicates with and maintain a working relationship with
physicians, care staff, the administrative team, and resident
family members
Comply with HIPAA and PHI guidelines and protect confidentiality at
all times
Performs other duties as assigned
Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with
certification or registration a preferred
2 years of relevant physician office experience with 1 year of
senior living experience
licensure(s) or certification
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are required
along with the heart and passion to work with older adults while
providing the best care possible
Ability to work well with others and take direction from
management, as well as take initiative- willing to go above and
beyond to ensure the needs of the organization are met in
accordance with the company's core values
Must have the ability to remain calm in stressful situations, be
flexible, work well with many interruptions, and have exceptional
multi-tasking skills
Respect for the principles of patient/resident rights and
confidentiality
Must exhibit and promote a high level of professionalism, customer
service, curiosity, and friendliness in all interactions with
employees, residents, and visitors throughout the organization
Computer Skills
Proficiency in Internet browsers (e.g. Explorer, Chrome, Fire Fox),
as well as advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs:
Outlook, Excel, Word and Publisher applications. Experience in
working with various EMR and medical billing systems.

this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The
employee frequently is required to sit at a desk and work on a
computer; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and
reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a
time, position self to reach equipment above or below normal
standing height. Specific vision abilities required by this job
include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral
vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.---To
communicate verbally with team members, residents, and residents'
family members.
