JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of this position is to implement and manage Health and
Safety programs relative to a large corporate account.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitors injury, illness, and incident related performance within
the geographical / contractual area of responsibility. Monitor
performance for trends or other indicators of improving or
degrading incident performance and develop and implement strategic
solutions that will improve the performance results as
required.
Acts as a resource to staff and internal customers as the Health
and Safety subject matter expert. Provide direct and timely advice
and information to management in all matters related to
performance, compliance, trends, and concerns.
Implements all corporate Health and Safety initiatives, and
communicate all corporate priorities in a manner that effectively
drives program consistency and effectiveness across the
account.
Oversee the specific Health & Safety plans, playbooks, and
procedures for the account to make certain they are current,
complete, and effectively implemented.
Monitors regulatory compliance within the account. Communicates all
findings, concerns, and deficiencies to the responsible managers to
effect timely and necessary corrections. Develops and implements
strategic solutions that will support management's efforts to
improve and maintain compliance as required.
Identifies opportunities to reduce costs while enhancing quality of
services.
Responses to client employee concerns regarding Health and Safety
matters.
Supports compliance and the Principles of Responsibility (Client
Code of Conduct) by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of
information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with
ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance and adhering to
applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations,
accreditation and client policies and procedures.
Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single
functional or operational area. Approves subordinate's
recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion,
advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively
recommends same for direct reports to next level management for
review and approval. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels
and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers
performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members
to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models
behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university.
Minimum of 8 years of related experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state and local health and
safety, and environmental regulations is essential. Direct
experience dealing with regulatory agencies and / or compliance
officers is required.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
As required by local authority (if required). Certified Safety
Professional (CSP) or any other H&S related education or
certification.Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) -
Preferred
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex
business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most
sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and
articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and
persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients,
top management and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and
negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and
client groups to take desired action.
FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE
Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles.
Ability to calculate complex figures. Ability to forecast and
prepare budgets. Conducts financial/business analysis including the
preparation of reports.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of
options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and
quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic
solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales
environment. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes
recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
Decisions made with in-depth understanding and interpretation of
procedures, company policies and business practices to achieve
general results. Responsible for setting department deadlines.
Errors in judgment may cause long-term impact to co-workers,
supervisor, department and/or line of business.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine
compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and
experience. The minimum salary for the Health and Safety Sr Manager
position is $120,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Health
and Safety Sr Manager position is $130,000 annually. The
compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend
on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary
bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
