Job ID: -107067 -The Leonardo DRS Land Systems business is a recognized leader in the design and integration of complex technologies into new and legacy systems and platforms for global military and commercial customers. Job Summary The Configuration Data Analyst will provide Configuration Management (CM) support to project teams on primarily DoD contracts. - This person will work within DRS's Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) database to manage the control of engineering and manufacturing product data in that system. - The analyst will coordinate and oversee the review and approval of those items and changes within the PLM system. - This includes routing to team members for review and approval as well as monitoring the approval process and providing status to the project team and its members and management. - The analyst will process the release of approved items within the PLM system. Job Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and establish moderately complex data management documentation based on program requirements. -
  • Coordinate the development, implementation, and maintenance of configuration management systems
  • Provide analysis of proposed design changes to determine the effect on the overall system; may recommend methods of improvement
  • Utilize product data management tools
  • Prepare contract data item submittals to established delivery schedules
  • Provide high level support to the Product Data Manager and engineering technical staff
  • Independent preparation and submittal of contract data -
  • Review contract data requirements and establish data schedules in accordance with requirements
  • Assist engineering technical staff in the decision process required for configuration management
  • May prepare and present status of configuration plan and schedule in customer meetings
  • Participate in the development of plans and procedures regarding configuration management
  • Prepare cost estimates with supervision
  • Provide training to staff in the use of configuration management tools
  • Support the analysis of proposed design changes to determine the effect on the overall system; recommend methods of improvement -
  • Participate in special assignments or projects or studies -
  • Act as liaison between functional groups -
  • May supervise work product of other less experienced employees
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
  • Provide support to formal configuration management activities such as Physical Configuration Audits
  • Provide support to the preparation of Technical Data Package delivery
  • Complete assigned tasks on time and meet technical requirements
  • Attend appropriate engineering, customer or business meetings - Job Responsibilities Part II Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field (CAD data systems)
    • 6 + years of relevant experience in the field of Product Data Management. -
    • Highly developed understanding of engineering or manufacturing technical data packages. -
    • Demonstrated proficiency regarding configuration management principles.
    • Demonstrates the ability to review engineering technical data for completeness and correctness. -
    • Strong computer skills including the use of enterprise-level data management tools and the MS Office suite. -
    • Detail oriented individual
    • Experience working in DoD industry desirable -
    • Experience with CAD data systems desirable
