  Day to DayInsight Global is seeking a Data Governance Manager to sit in St. Louis, MO. The team is responsible for the data governance function for business intelligence. It is this team's responsibility to ensure that the organization's data is kept secure, and the right people have access to the data at the right time. This person will have 4-5 analysts/developers reporting to them. They will be responsible for supervising the team, designing and development necessary solutions and spending time in meetings regarding complex scenarios. An example of a project the team would be responsible for is a recertification program. If someone moves to a different team within the organization, their access is cut off since they no longer need to access the data they once worked with. If there was a case that they did need to access the data, they would have to be recertified. Prior to a solution the team came up with, this process was all manual. This role will require interacting with senior leadership on a regular basis. They will have to meet with VPs and executives to potentially negotiate certain solutions and do presentations. An example of a scenario may be that someone may request direct access to data, but the data may already be existing in a reporting environment. The team will help them arrive at the most appropriate solution. The team processes about 25-30 tickets a month (these are complex scenarios that need to be understood and navigated). This person will be responsible for building a governance framework to keep data secure, conducting periodic automated audits, evaluating requests to understand reporting requirements, implementing best practices, building ETL processes to manage integrity and accuracy or users' access to data and building automated reporting solutions for extracting data.
