Edward Jones is looking for a Senior Product Delivery Manager (Sr.
PDM) who would be ultimately responsible for the success,
execution, and quality of multiple Digital Product Delivery teams
within the Digital Branch Experience portfolio. This role will have
significant strategy and creative thought leadership responsibility
in a matrixed team structure and environment. This role ongoing
focus will be implementing and improving the Edward Jones Client
Discovery and Financial Planning systems for existing and future
Edward Jones service offerings.
Sr. PDMs are people leaders of Product Delivery Managers (PDMs) who
lead the engineering individuals on our product teams and are
therefore ultimately responsible for the outcomes of those product
teams. Sr. PDMs also directly lead important cross team supporting
roles including Solution Architects and Site Reliability Engineers
(SREs).
In the product delivery management portion of the role, this leader
will be responsible for:
- Continual strategy setting and evaluation of delivery team
structure in alignment with firm need. This will include contract
and talent management with on-shore and off-shore resource
partners.
- Building strong partnerships and relationships with leaders in
Products, QA, UX, PMO, Shared Technology Service, and Enterprise
Architecture as well as cross dependent products
- Removing obstacles, ensuring proper investments of resources
and focus, and coordinating resources to continually reducing cycle
times, increasing predictability, and increasing quality
- Improving usability scores by driving improvement of all things
related to the software lifecycle for their teams
- Setting product success measures to deliver the right value the
right way to our clients
- Oversight of product technology roadmaps to ensure proper use
of architectural standards and best practices in the team's
deliverables as well as reducing technical debt
- Deep understanding of the product team's systems, processes,
priorities, and technologies while representing these aspects to
all levels of IS leadership
- Minimizing key-person dependencies and knowledge silos across
product teams
- Ensure PDMs are following division process and balancing risks
appropriately (e.g. compliance, change management, information
security, etc.)
- Achieving Service Level Objectives for their product In the
people leadership portion of this role, this leader will be
responsible for:
- Coaching and mentoring of Product Delivery Managers,
Architects, and SREs through observation and timely feedback.
- Identification of key team positions and develop ready-now
leaders and successors
- Must be able to establish and maintain effective relationships
with vendors while aligning to the firm's objectives
- Using agile product development principles and values, ensuring
continued growth and execution in these areas.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, should be able
to communicate at all levels of the organization, lead discussions
and drive decisions
- Excellent presentation skills. Should be able to cater to a
wide variety of audience during ongoing meetings, status updates,
stakeholder presentations etc. Minimum of 10 years of experience
directly related to the design and delivery of Information
technology solutions. At least 5 years in a leadership role
(mentoring associates and leaders, leading engineers, analysts,
project leaders, etc.) is required.
Experience with leading vendor-based implementations and
integrations requiring custom development.
Practical understanding of agile product development principles and
values, ideally worked in an Agile development environment
Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience.
Experience building out solutions that support real-time,
high-volume systems in a complex computing environment with
Financial Services business is preferred.
Experience managing mixed teams of associates, contingent
workforce, statement of work and offshore resources.

range for this role is based on national data and actual pay is
based on skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors
for a potential new associate:
