The Enterprise Manufacturing and Operations Management (EMOM) team is seeking an Industrial Engineer for Enterprise Manufacturing and Operations Management to enhance Industrial Engineering within Manufacturing and Operations functions in the digital transformation of the One Boeing Production System. The successful candidate will be experienced in creating the cultural change necessary to enhance business processes through technology insertion and leveraging it to realize incremental improvements both to the production system as well as toward internal organizational processes.

In this role, you will utilize and apply Industrial Engineering concepts, techniques, analysis and decision tools to promote and assist in implementing changes in manufacturing, engineering and operations. This position will be located in Hazelwood MO or North Charleston SC.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Senior and Subject Matter Expert Level Industrial Engineer for Enterprise Manufacturing and Operations Management

Position responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of Enterprise Manufacturing and Operations Management (EMOM) solutions to drive alignment of system capabilities to business processes
  • Partner with Information Technology to enable Digital Transformation goals and objectives
  • Ensure the alignment of system capabilities to future business processes that includes the 'operationalizing' of the system
  • Drive system and analytic standards into processes and best practices to enable business transformation
  • Leads execution planning by using project management, planning and scheduling and shop load practices while ensuring compliance with established industry safety, design standards and ergonomic guidelines
  • Utilize engineering principles to identify areas of opportunity to add value in manufacturing and operations management
  • Identifies new techniques and technological developments for integration into the production process and service operations
  • Leads research, design, development, improvement, and implementation of processes and tools to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality, for large scale systems integration and asset utilization This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

    This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
    • Bachelor of Science degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
    • 5+ years of Manufacturing or aerospace industry experience Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
      • Level 5 : 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
      • Experience with resolving production system constraints
      • Experience with implementation of automated equipment and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Typical Education & Experience:

        Senior (Level 4)

        Bachelor's degree and typically 9 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 7 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years' experience in an engineering classification.

        Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

        Subject Matter Expert (Level 5)

        Bachelor's degree typically 14 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 12 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 9 or more years' experience in an engineering classification.

        Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

        Relocation:

        Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
