Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) is currently looking for a early
career Associate Dimensional Management Design Engineer to join the
Advanced Manufacturing team located in St. Louis, MO. The ideal
candidate will have a background supporting defense aircraft in
design and manufacturing
- Leads Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in analyzing product
development, complex producibility studies and production/tooling
- Refines, validates, coordinates and implements conceptual
designs and manages the program architecture for build.
- Develops manufacturing plans and oversees plan optimization.
Conducts complex producibility, variation, and dimensional analyses
to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches
- Resolves complex technical problems. Serves as a project
manager to ensure that contract requirements, specifications,
design criteria and schedule performance are integrated and
- Leads advanced design solutions and supports research of new
product or business opportunities.
- Deploys company Lean Enterprise analysis methods. Documents and
communicates producibility best practices.
- Provides guidance to others through structured mentoring. This
position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate may be
required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A
U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months
is considered active.) A final U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start is
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an
accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science,
mathematics, physics or chemistry
- 1+ years supporting aircraft manufacturing
- 1+ years supporting military/defense customers Preferred
Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 1+ years in design and/or dimensional analysis
- Experience working with many IPTs of varying backgrounds
Typical Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree and typically 2 or more years' experience in an
engineering classification or a Master's degree with experience in
an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of
Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering,
computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the
preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
