• Description
  • Attract, develop and retain technology staff
  • Define, deliver, and support strategic plans for implementing cybersecurity solutions
  • Complete projects and coordinate resources and timelines with, suppliers, business clients, and peers
  • Build and maintain strategic vendor and business relationships
  • Manage the budget associated with the Information Security organization
  • Provide security awareness training to all employees and agents in the corporation
  • Ensure compliance with various frameworks such as, SOC 1/2, SOX, FINRA, SEC, PCI, PII, etcResponsibilities
    • Primary focus is leadership with expectations of being a technical escalation point for the team
    • Assist with 3rd party vendor reviews to ensure appropriate protection of corporate data
    • Work with legal and compliance to establish IT security policies across all security domains
    • Manage work intake/pipeline to ensure we meet our customer requests in a timely manner
    • Utilize internal project management tools to provide visibility of demand and resource capabilities to Senior Leadership
    • Manage relationship with 3rd party MDR (managed detection and response) to ensure that we are actively engaged in remediating reported threats and vulnerabilities
    • Establish refresh plans for all security tools and platforms within the security domain
    • Ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical colleagues
    • Interpret security and technology controls into business needs
    • A solid understanding of risk-based decision making and risk management frameworks.
    • Experience working with and communication to senior and executive management
    • Ability and interest in remaining aware of current threats, trends, and topics
    • Excellent communications skills, positive attitude, flexibility, and problem-solving mentality.
    • Strong bias to action and willingness to multi-task.
    • Well defined sense of personal accountability, "owns it" and takes initiative - comfortable with making business-led decisions.
    • Ability to turn strategy and high-level concepts into high quality plans and outputs.
    • Detailed knowledge of application & infrastructure security practices and processes, as well as data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and compliance frameworks (SOC2, NIST, etc.).
      Requirements
      • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in related discipline and/or a minimum of 5 years of equivalent experience
      • Proven history of leadership, managing a minimum of 7 direct reports, in a security organization
