Job Description Job Description Controls Technician East Peoria, IL – Full Time Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team for our customer's facility in East Peoria, IL. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will be a skilled Controls Technician with a broad technical background including PLC/HMI/SCADA programming, robotics, hardware selection and interfacing with a preferred 5 years of experience. The successful candidate will possess a diverse set of skills and interests and will serve on multiple project teams. This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization. Duties: Develop PLC and HMI SCADA programs using industry-standard programming languages to control machinery and processes. Establishing communications between devices. Interfacing with sensors and actuators. Interfacing with industrial and collaborative robots. Use of communication busses such as CAN, IO-Link , DH, EtherNet/IP. Ability to find suitable replacements for obsolete hardware. Requirements: Strong organization and communication skills. Detail oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Diverse interests and skill set, with an ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment. Ability to handle onsite support. Familiarity with code compliance. Experience controlling hydraulic systems. Experience controlling mechanical systems. Knowledge of control theory, PID tuning, and stability analysis. Knowledge of a variety of feedback devices. Experience with a variety of controls hardware. Preferred: AutoCAD Electrical. EPLAN experience. SolidWorks experience.
