The Role This role is a great match if you: • Enjoy mentoring engineers and helping teams grow • Have strong overhead line design experience and want to step into broader leadership influence • Like balancing technical work with client and team collaboration What Your Day Will Look Like: Lead and mentor a team of Transmission or Distribution engineers Perform and review overhead line designs (transmission and/or distribution) using PLS-CADD, and other related tools Guide junior engineers and support technical problem solving Collaborate with utility clients on line upgrades and design projects Contribute technical input to proposals and new project pursuits Improve design processes and engineering workflows Conduct field visits and site assessments as needed (up to 15% travel) Verify clearances, structure integrity, and NESC/client standards compliance Prepare construction and record documentation Operate with strong technical ownership and leadership presence What You'll Bring to the Familia: Essentials to Succeed: Bachelor’s in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering Experience designing overhead transmission and/or distribution lines (Most of our supervisors bring ~5 years, but we’re open to strong candidates ready for leadership growth.) Professional Engineer (PE) license (Civil or Structural preferred) preferred, or ability to acquire it within one year of hire.
