seeking Mid-Level Industrial Engineers to support the tactical
fighter aircraft production of the F-15 Eagle and F/A-18 Super
Hornet, as well as programs within the Missile and Weapons and
Fabrication portfolios, in Berkeley, MO.At the Berkeley site,
Industrial Engineers support the fabrication and assembly of some
of the most sophisticated military aircraft in the world.Position
Responsibilities:
- Applies industrial engineering techniques and concepts to
improve schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality,
through the application of Lean and other Industrial Engineering
concepts for large scale systems integration and asset
utilization.
- Manages, defines, negotiates, and controls the scope, cost, and
timing of projects, and performs risk analysis using project
management tools (e.g., work break-down structure, precedence
network, resource allocation). Provides support to project
completion.
- Uses engineering methods (e.g., mathematical models,
simulation, statistics) to support the development of optimal
process designs and efficient utilization of resources (e.g.,
facilities, personnel, materials, equipment) in the creation and
validation of products.
- Analyzes and designs value stream, including capability,
capacity (e.g., make/buy, supplier selection, risk analysis,
supplier performance), throughput, work flow and logistics (e.g.,
critical path, lead-time, transportation, factory layout).This
position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will
be required to work onsite at one of the listed location
options.This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S.
Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S.
Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance
Post-Start is required. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills &
Experience):
- Bachelor s degree from an accredited course of study, in
engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry is
required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial engineering
or similar role (or Master s and 3+ of years experience)
- Minimum 1 year of experience working on a production
program
- Experience with process improvement and Lean Manufacturing
- Experience with data analysisPreferred Qualifications (Desired
Skills/Experience):
- Ability to effectively communicate with engineering peers,
management, and non-engineering support staff.
- Capable of building positive relations
- Adaptable to change and a quick learnerTypical
Education/Experience: Typically acquired through advanced technical
education from an accredited course of study in engineering,
computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor)
and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an
equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g.
PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET
accreditation is the preferred, although not required,
accreditation standardRelocation: This position offers relocation
