Find your future with us.The Boeing Global Services (BGS) Operations & Systems Analysis team is looking for a motivated self-starting engineer with a passion for problem solving using modeling and simulation capabilities.The position is required to support contracts for the MQ-25 program, as well as to develop new IRAD funded efforts.Our team utilizes and maintains simulation tools which are leveraged across the Boeing Company providing solutions for a wide array of business and engineering challenges. These challenges support commercial, government, and services products and platforms giving this position a unique opportunity to experience many sides to Boeings core businesses.BGS Operations & Systems Analysis Engineers applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. Using analysis tools the Operations & Systems Analysis Team creates solutions to an array of operational challenges, many of which have never been previously attempted. The BGS Operations & Systems Analysis team is seeking new engineers to continue delivering innovative solutions to further these capabilities.Evaluates customer and /operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces. Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture. Performs analyses for affordability, reliability, maintainability, and other specialties into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success. Develops the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes. Resolves cross-functional technical issues.Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop operations models to assess and identify root cause factors, perform trade studies and sensitivity analyses, incorporate modeling & simulation capabilities and provide recommendations to Boeing program management.
  • Use modeling and simulation capabilities to analyze, assess and identify root cause factors, perform trade studies and sensitivity analyses, and provide recommendations to Boeing program management
  • Build logistics and operations support models
  • Use programming skills to support development of innovative new simulation capabilities.
  • Develop visualization tools for new and existing models and scenarios.
    This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. Post start secret clearance required.Required Skills/Qualifications:
    • Modeling and Simulation: General knowledge of modeling and prototyping tools (e.g., ExtendSim, Matlab). Experience with discrete event simulation modeling. Apply general knowledge of modeling techniques (e.g., mathematical modeling, simulation, design of experiments, operations research) to analyze a system.
    • Programming: Experience with object oriented programming languages and modern development environments. Knowledge of software development and testing tools (e.g., editors, compilers, linkers, desktop simulations, configuration management tools, requirements management tools) capability and usage.
    • Analytical Skills: Skill and ability to coordinate with customers to understand analysis requirements. Formulate analysis solutions. Also, collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources at the work group level. General knowledge of statistical analysis concepts such as normal distribution, standard deviations, mean, probability, and confidence levels.Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

      • Data analytics and visualization

        Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
        • Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or similar discipline
        • Two years of relevant experience
        • Proficiency using Python on data science applicationsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
          • Advanced degree in Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or another similar technical background is preferred.
          • Advanced understanding of military aircraft systems
          • Engineering domain knowledge relating to aircraft maintenance, design, or testing are desirable.
          • Understanding of software engineering development processes and tools.
          • Familiarity with Condition-based maintenance techniques.
          • Experience with project management, including with agile development techniques.Relocation:Relocation available based on candidate eligibilityTypical Education / Experience:

            Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
