CDM Smith is seeking candidates for an Environmental Compliance Senior Specialist in Springfield IL. The Senior Specialist will act as the project manager, technical and regulatory expert for CDM Smith providing leadership for development, implementation, maintenance, advocacy, education, and training of environmental compliance-related topics for an important Illinois state government client As a member of this team, you would contribute to CDM Smith's mission by: Directing development and implementation of a large department's Environmental Management System (EMS) Providing Phase I and II engineering services and highly specialized environmental compliance expertise, direction, and support Strategizing environmental-related capital improvement projects Conducting environmental compliance assessments (ECA) and awareness training Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline. Professional engineering (PE) license. 12 years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Skills and Abilities Expert Knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices. Expert Knowledge of engineer principles of design. Expert Knowledge of Microsoft business software (excel, word, etc.).
