Job Description Job Description Job Summary: Fence & Deck Depot, founded in 2001, installs fences and decks to both residential and commercial customers. We view ourselves as a services company that builds fences and decks. As one of the largest providers in the St. Louis market, we are a team of over 50 people and install over 40 miles of residential fencing and 60,000 square feet of decking annually. Our culture is one of respect where “We treat others as we want to be treated” and “We do it right the first time.” Fence & Deck Depot will continue to evolve and diversify, always striving to exceed customers' expectations We are seeking an experienced craftsman to join our team to develop into a future crew leader. This position is year-round (non- seasonal position) from 6am-midafternoon, project length varies day to day. DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES: Laying out jobs Managing job operations, delegating tasks and managing crew. Loading and unloading materials Digging holes and using shovels Using basic hand tools (tape measures, hammers, speed square) Using basic power tools (circular saws, nail guns, drills, impact screw gun). Reading a level Driving vehicles Daily reporting on job progress and production issues to Production Manager Working occasionally on Saturdays QUALIFICATIONS: Experienced with power tools (mainly circular saws and drills). Carpentry. Familiar with permits / inspections Should enjoy working outdoors. Good communication skills. Problem solving skills. Attention to detail. Previous deck experience is required. Ability to read blueprints is required. Concrete pouring / finishing is preferred but not required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Being able to lift up to 80 lbs. with or without accommodations. Performing activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs. Ability to work in various weather conditions. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: $34-$39/hour DOE. After the training period is complete, the potential to earn $70k-$80k per year.
