Business Transformation Manager Job number: US11074 Position type Regular Function General & Administrative State/Province Missouri City St. Louis Region US Posting Date: Jul-15-2019 Division Information Spectrum Brands utilizes a Shared Services model that enables resources to be leveraged across the organization. The Shared Services team is made up of information technology, human resources, indirect sourcing, finance & accounting professionals that support all business units. Shared services teams are headquartered in Middleton, Wisconsin but have members across the country. This position can be based out of our Middleton, WI or St. Louis, MO offices. Job Summary The Business Transformation Manager leads cross-functional business transformation initiatives through the program definition/ requirements to set the program expectations, benefits and timing. This includes defining stakeholders, key resources, and tool/process needs. To define the program, usually requires a strong technical knowledge across multiple functions, tools and processes to capture the current 'as is' state as well as the desired future state. Often includes benchmarking across one or multiple industries to identify industry best practices and incorporate them into the proposed program solutions. Program often includes IT investments larger than $1M and/or large organizational change. This is a Limited Term Employment position, expected term is 12-18 months. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Lead cross-functional business transformations - Lead cross-functional efforts to transform key aspects of the SPB products, processes and technology portfolio leveraging global, industry-standard base design points best-practice aligned with core corporate strategic objectives - Manage large scale, complex projects with multiple stakeholders, often competing priorities and aggressive timelines - Stage activities with relevant milestones and schedules. Anticipate and adjust effective contingency plans - Navigate and influence executive priorities in order to achieve the most desirable outcome for SPB - Unlock value within defined budget parameters - can identify impact of changes and tie to larger program/portfolio budget/benefits across the business - Present phase exit approvals and updates directly to SPB leadership - Coordinate work efforts of multiple internal teams across SPB as well as 3rd party consultant agencies and contractors with clear direction and accountabilities. Monitors progress by maintaining dialogue on work and results - Identifies and creates processes necessary to get work done. Create milestones and symbols to rally support behind the vision - Partners with others to establish and implement change and communication plans and tactics Apply functional and business expertise - Understands and can articulate the interconnections between direct procurement, indirect procurement, supply chain, marketing/new product development, and other business teams - Can flex across multiple business lifecycles (Strategy to Launch, Market to Quote, Order to Delivery to Cash, Plan to Manufacture, Procure to Pay, Service Delivery Management, Issue to Prevention, Account to Report, Talent Lifecycle) - Can flex across multiple work stream domains (Architecture, Reporting/Information Management, Master Data Management, Technology, Organizational Change Management, Value Management, Tax, Security Sales & Controls GTM) Education and Experience Profile - Requires 7 years' experience in a professional role with a Bachelor's degree or 5+ years with Master's degree. Preference for experience leading cross-functional projects - Project Management, Process Design or Process Improvement certification preferred - Project management experience on significant organizational projects, defined as projects greater than $500k or including more than 3 functions/businesses or global in scope - Relevant experience working in multiple industries, or multiple CPG companies, to identify industry best practices and incorporate them into the proposed program - Strong technical knowledge across multiple functions, tools and processes - Preference for knowledge of Spectrum Brands products, processes and organizations Required Skills - Expert leadership and collaboration / teamwork skills - Expert at influencing without authorizing and navigating complex stakeholder ecosystem and driving for results - Executive presence and communication skills - Demonstrated expertise in using project management and analysis tools including Microsoft Office Suite Work Environment Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
