Job Description:
As a pivotal leader at Midlands Bank, the Director of Financial
Reporting and Accounting will oversee the financial reporting
processes and ensure compliance with accounting standards to
facilitate strategic financial decisions. This role is instrumental
in supporting the bank's commitment to delivering personalized
banking solutions through precise financial management and
innovative approaches leveraging the latest in financial
technologies. Lead the preparation of all external financial
reporting, including quarterly and annual reports in accordance
with GAAP and regulatory standards. Ensure the accuracy and
timeliness of financial statements and reports. Oversee the
accounting team to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting
systems and function; supervise Midlands Bank’s finance staff.
Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes,
tools, and control systems. Serve as a key point of contact for
external auditors; manage preparation and support of all external
audits. Collaborate with executive leadership to develop financial
strategies and plans. Ensure compliance with local, state, and
federal government requirements and tax filings. Drive continuous
improvement of financial systems and policies. Expert knowledge of
GAAP, as well as SEC reporting requirements. Strong leadership
skills and ability to manage and motivate teams. High proficiency
in financial software and automated accounting systems. Excellent
analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Effective
communication and presentation skills. Ability to manage tight
deadlines and multiple projects simultaneously. Medical Insurance
Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified
Public Accountant (CPA) is required. Any additional certifications
in Financial Management or Compliance would be advantageous.
