In a typical branch office, a financial advisor meets with clients
and receives branch office support, so they can focus on building
deep relationships with clients. Headquarters associates in St.
Louis, Tempe and Mississauga provide support and expertise to help
U.S. and Canada branch teams deliver an ideal client experience. We
continue to grow to meet the needs of long-term individual
investors.Work closely with the Senior Product Leader and/or
General Partner for developing and executing the firm's product
management and strategy for managed investments (eg. mutual funds,
ETFs, UITs, 529 plans, donor-advised funds) to ensure branch teams
have quality products and support needed to help clients achieve
their financial goals. This is an individual contributor role.
1) Design and develop innovative Managed Investment products that
align with firm advice and guidance in collaboration with internal
and external stakeholders. Determine the data, insights and
analysis needed to inform product strategy and development.
2) Responsible for Managed Inv. product partner relationships of
significant size, complexity, number or impact in order to:
a) manage and maintain their portfolio of products including making
recommendations to add / remove / change products or product
partners as needed.
b) shape and drive execution of business plans that align with firm
c) ensure that product literature and wholesaling support is
effective (quantity and quality), aligned with key firm messages,
and compliant. Assist in the design of efficient and effective
ongoing processes and controls.
d) influence the design and development of integrated platforms,
systems, tools and processes that create a better client and branch
e) resolve complex / broad product partner issues as escalated.
Determine root cause and apply system thinking to prevent future
f) regularly interface with product partner peer contacts (Eg. key
account managers, product managers, national sales managers, and
g) assist in the coordination and alignment of product partner
relationship management activities above across all product
3) Serve as a subject matter expert for the Managed Inv. product
line for the firm. Includes advanced knowledge of multiple product
partner products, features, benefits, pricing, etc. and their
relative positioning in the marketplace.
Managed Investments products include Mutual Funds, ETFs, 529 Plans
4) Understand and interpret rules and potential rule changes in the
tax, legal and regulatory environment for the product line; make
recommendations that help shape the firm position with respect to
tax, legal and regulatory issues for these products/programs.
5) Leads significant additional responsibilities specific to the
team or area (Eg. recruiting, training, product partner
coordination, wholesaler effectiveness)
6) Lead broad division, firm, or industry initiatives and events as
needed to represent the product line in alignment with firm
strategy (Eg. cross-divisional projects, internal committees,
product partner events, regional events, industry groups, etc.)
7) Develop and recommend risk mitigation strategies to ensure
continuity and effectiveness of the product line while minimizing
risk to clients and the firm.
8) Mentor team members and assist in the ongoing development of
their subject matter expertise.Qualifications Required in the
Bachelor's degree required with quantitative discipline preferred
(Eg. finance, economics, accounting, math, engineering, actuarial
Series 7, 66 required within 12 months of hire.
Advanced degree or relevant industry designation(s) preferred (e.g.
Managed Investments: CFA, CIMA, CFP, ChFC, CPA, etc).
Years of Experience:
Generally, 10+ years of relevant financial services experience,
with Investment Product Management or Portfolio Management
Deep subject matter expertise in product line products
Exceptional technical aptitude and analytical skills
Highly effective written, verbal and presentation skills
Advanced proficiency with systems and tools including MS Office,
Tableau and databases
Problems faced by associates in this role tend to be advanced,
complex and unstructured. Achieve results independently and
occasionally through others.

and actual pay is based on skills, experience, education, and other
relevant factors for a potential new associate:
Salary: $106916 - $182047
